Isolated DNA: Patentable or not?

Patentability of any subject matter is decided by the patent law of concern country and it may vary from country to country. Recently the Federal Circuit has given judgement regarding the patentability of the isolated DNA and they have given green signal to the same but with some conditions.

One more US patent for Dyadic International

Dyadic International, a biotech focusing company based at florida has received a US patent for its research efforts in the field of biotechnology. The US granted patent having no 7794962 provides a method for the expression and subsequent screening of DNA libraries in filamentous fungal hosts and ultimately lead to speed up the discovery of novel genes and development of enzymes and proteins related to them.
