First compulsory licence applied by Natco for Nexavar

Indian based generic pharma company Natco has applied for the compulsory licence to produce and sell the NEXAVAR(R) which is a patented product of Bayer. Natco has applied for compulsory licence based on the ground of cost of the medicine which is not affordable by indian people.

If the decision comes in favor of Natco, it will open a door for the compulsory licence to many generic pharmaceutical industry and ultimately it will benefit the society at large.
